Is anyone having the problem of a user not being able to access chat?

I am based in the UK. We are having a major problem because we have a school where some students are trying to access our web chat service, and they can't get into it. The button is working fine on our website (whether online for live chat or offline for the 'leave a message' dialogue box). But they can't seem to access either dialogue box. They say that when they hover their cursor over the button, they don't get the 'hand' symbol that normally shows there is a link sitting behind the graphic.

 

It could be that as they are a school they have a filter setting that is preventing access….but this would seem not to be the case as they accessed a government webchat live on the same day as not being able to access ours.

 

I wondered whether perhaps they need to set Liveperson and/or the channelmogo site where we host the button as trusted sites? Could this be it? Or maybe it's to do with the cookies that Liveperson uses? School filters are set at County level but often there are very specific settings on a school by school basis. any ideas welcome!
