Status of LiveEngage CTI API?

Is there any official update on the general availability of LiveEngage API documentation?

 

More specifically, I'm hoping for a LiveEngage specific update to the "CTI API Specification" Version 3.3 that was published in May 2013.

Android Native Library Integration Issue...!

Hi ,

I want to integrate android native library.But Descripton about the integration is not clear.I have queries regarding:

1)How to add LP accout number.?

2)How to start a chat.?

3)How to check agents availability.?

4)How to track the errors in library.?

Hi,

I uploaded a plugin xml  successfully

After that, i clicked "install in account" in "view application keys", logged in a midsize business and in Add Application dialog am not getting the plugin application instead a development App itself and after approve am getting this error "There is a problem adding this application to your account, please contact the application provider."

I have attached the screenshots.

 

I guess uploaded plugin is not showing up in "view application key" page

 

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Raw Report Output

Hi,

 

We're finding LP's reporting module limiting so would like to pump the data into an instance of MicroStrategy.

 

The ambition one day will be to use our data API to send it into MS directly, but for the time being we'd like to download the data monthly and upload it manually.

 

Talking to our BI team, we need a raw output of the report instead of the 2 format options presented (HTML or Excel). This would essentially be a line by line extract of the data, which is something BI could work with.

Hello,

 

I am wondering what exactly the definition of the variable "visitorActive" is. I am using it in many rules but I do not know exactly when it is set to "1" or "0". All I know that it is set by the system but nobody could tell me exactly what attributes and which values it uses.

If you can shade some light on this that would be great!

Liveperson and Joomla

Hi,

 

We have a Joomla based website and I have been trying to implement Liveperson on this. The issue I have is when I paste the 'get code' generated chat button and paste this into the article or a 'Custom HTML' module, nothing appears. I was talking to someone on support chat last night who created me a button but this was more HTML based rather than script based. The only issue with this is that the button is not linked back to the management console to be able to centrally change the messages.

 

The support agent pointed me here and said that the community would help. I'll gladly supply more information.

Hi,

 

I am working on adding the LiveChat to a Fan Page that I have and it does not seem to work. I added in the account number but when I pull up the app it says the chat is offline. Do I need to add my chat agent to the app to make it work?

Hi, we are developing a mobile app for both Android and IOS with live chat feature using REST API. We have a requirement to capture an image or pick from gallery and send it by our customer to the agent while in chatting window. Is there any API available for this.

Invitation to open custom chat box using REST API

We have our Invitation showing up correctly on the site, however we would like to run a custom javascript function when the user clicks that invitation. We followed directions from https://connect.liveperson.com/docs/DOC-1962, but testing with this code didn't even let the invitation show.


We would like to open up our custom lightbox upon the user accepting our invitation.

Mobile Chat Button Integration

I'm working on implementing a mobile chat button on a site in my company. I've run into an issue where the button is not appearing. I have insured I have an agent with "Mobile Skill" and is online while testing and have verified the LP Tag and button code on the page.

The site is not "Responsive Design". Is this an issue? If so can anybody tell me why?

Liveperson for linux

I and the other members within my company use linux (Ubuntu). We like the idea of live person, yet there is no support for linux.

 

I downloaded a copy of liveperson, and managed to get it running with WINE. I thought everything was going well, but after I started everything up, added my operators, embedded the code in the webpage I ran into a terminal problem.

 

Customers(me testing as a customer) could click on the chat button, this would load a window. They could type in there, yet I could not see in the agent console what they were typing. Me (as an operator) could type in the agent console to them, they could see this, but again, there was no recording of what I had said, or they had said in the agent console, which made the tool impossible to use live.

 

I was directed by a very helpful liveperson support member to the new browser version of the agent console, but was basically told my computer didnt support this *because I use linux*.

 

1) Does anyone have any solutions (we would not change back to windows) and

2) Isnt it time liveperson starts supporting linux distributions? More and more companies are moving down the open source route, and it seems liveperson are not only limiting their support area, but also losing potential customers (such as me, who would have began using live person asap if it had worked for us).

Exporting Reporting numbers

Is there a way to export statistics from the reports through an API or other means?  We have a custom built dashboard of company statistics and we would like to automate getting the numbers we need for our charts (for example, we combine our customer service's teams call minutes per hour and chat minutes per hour).

 

What we have now is a custom report giving the figures we want and they are emailed to someone who then data enters them into our custom dashboard.  We would like to be able to automate this to eliminate any chance of human error.

Hi,

I have written a service to get the estimated wait time and I am always getting -2 when agent is online and he is already busy with other chatting.

Instead of -2 I should get some positive real value so as I come to know the approximate wait time say 5,10 or 20.

LivePerson works only with local admin rights

Hello,

 

I'm installing the LivePerson application and it gets installed in the Program Fies (x86) folder. Unless I add the user account to the local aministrators local group the application will not open. I get the failed to lauch application. Exception description java.lang.NullPointerException error and another error related to Synthetica License. I have picked the option to run as administrator and gave it rights to the LivePerson folder and removed the inherited permissions to no avail. Is there a registry entry or something that I'm not configuring correctly to run this application without local admin rights?

Is there any way to add/delete/modify users through the LivePerson API? We have an Enterprise Directory where we want to automatically sync user data to LivePerson. Right now we're having to resort to web-scraping the Admin Console screen which is certainly less preferred than a supported API.
